Circles is a local yarn store and fiber arts community center in Boston, MA. We opened our doors in 2003 and host free Social Circles each week, feature yarns from farms and yarn artisans, have an extensive curriculum of classes and workshops, and sponsor Travel Circles where you can learn more about the yarn industry and gain cultural experiences which allow you connect to others through knitting. All of these activities are designed to build a community where we connect to each other, inspire one another and evoke the creative potential in our fiber arts and our lives. If you’re interested in learning more about the experiences at Circles please stop by or join our Circles Forum (remember:signin to comment or vote!)
Our online shop was launched in December of 2007 as part of our community project called The Circles Pattern Collaborative. Any member of the Circles community may submit patterns to be published through the Collaborative. Each designer earns money from the sale of the patterns and a commission on the yarn sold in kits. When you buy a Circle Pattern Collaborative pattern you are supporting the creative work of another knitter such as yourself. Many of us never expect to give up our day jobs, we are simply passionate about knitting and love to share that passion while, perhaps, supporting our craft. Every purchase inspires us to continue pursuing the creative spirit through knitting.
Please stay tuned as our pattern collection grows, we add kits that highlight our artisan yarn selection and we introduce our designers to you with our own version of biographies.
